United Business Media acquires Energy Solutions Expo for £1m

Adds energy supply and management event to complement CMPi’s existing “Working Buildings” event portfolio

United Business Media Plc today announces that CMP Information, UBM’s UK-based business information division, has acquired Energy Events UK Ltd, owners of the Energy Solutions Expo event (www.energy-expo.info), for a cash consideration of £1m.

Energy Solutions Expo is the UK’s leading event focusing on the commercial energy supply and management sector.  The event is co-located with two other CMP Information “Working Buildings” events (Mechanical & Electrical (www.buildingservicesevent.co.uk) and Total Workplace Management (www.twmexpo.com)).

The acquisition is anticipated to meet UBM's 8% post-tax cost of capital acquisition criterion in its first full year of ownership.
