United Business Media announces new CMP Media CEO

United Business Media plc announces the appointment of Steve Weitzner as Chief Executive of CMP Media. Steve steps up to the role having been Chief Operating Officer of CMP since 2002. In recent years, he has played a leading role in accelerating CMP's moves into online, webcasting and custom publishing, successfully identifying and integrating acquisitions and turning around the performance of the electronics business.

Gary Marshall, currently Chief Executive of CMP Media, is to leave the company.
